Final Rites for Mrs. Cantey Set for Saturday
(The Taylor County News and Butler Herald, Friday, September11, 1964)

Mrs. Emma Gober Cantey, formerly of Reynolds, died at
her home in Sarasota, Fla., Wednesday, September 9.
She was the aunt of Mrs. Lawrence Cook of Reynolds.

Born in Commerce on July 23,1883, she was the
daughter of the late Levy H. and Amanda Owens Gober.
She later married Richard M Cantey and she has
resided in Sarasota, Fla. For 18 years.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 10, in
Sarasota, Fla. Rites will also be held in the Lucy
Chapel of the Goddard Funeral Home in Reynolds,
Saturday morning, September 12. Internment will be in
Hillcrest Cemetery.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Paul P. Trawick of
Commerce and one brother L.T. Gober of Temple, TX.
