Turners Chapel Items

The death angel visited the home of F.M. Dickerson on Sunday night March 11th
and took from that home Mr. Dickerson. He was 69 years of age and had been sick
about a week.  Mr. Dickerson leaves to mourn their loss a wife and two small
children age 6 and 4 years and two married children.  Namely: L.L. Dickerson and
Mrs. E.M. Gassett.

Oh it seems hard to give our father and companion up tho its something everyone
has got to do.  Weep not dear wife and children for he is only resting.  His
aged body was tenderly laid to rest at Turners Chapel March 12th services being
conducted by Rev. W.C. McGill in the presence of a large number of sorrowing
relatives and friends.  Oh how our heart went out in sympathy for the dear wife
and children when we beheld them at the tomb viewing their dear father and
companion for the last time on earth, but dear ones remember the words of old
“he can’t come back to you but you can go to him” and may you be enabled by the
grace of God to say the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh way blessed be the name
of the Lord.

We desire through the columns of the Herald to thank the people of this
community for their kind help and assistance shown us during the sickness and
death of our dear father and husband.  May God’s richest blessings rest upon
each and everyone of you is our prayer.
