Ward Edwards, died at his home Monday night. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in the Butler United Methodist Church with internment in the city cemetery. Mr. Edwards was born in Butler, Jan 23,1907, son of the late Dr. Wanza Ward and Hallie Teed Edwards. He had made his home in Taylor County all his life and was married to the late Lillian Brown of Howard. He was a member of the Butler United Methodist Church and the Fickland Masonic Lodge No.129. He was a retired funeral director and businessman and had been active in the Georgia Funeral Director’s Association for a number of years. He was appointed to the Ga. State Board of Funeral Service under Ernest Vandiver’s administration and served there for a number of years. He also served as president of the board.
