Negro Is Dead From Self Inflicted Wounds

Herbert Little Shot Himself Three Times and Died Almost Instantly

Thursday morning while at the home of his father, John Little, who lives on the 
plantation of Dr. E.G. Thomas, Herbert Little, a negro about thirty years of 
age, shot himself three times with a pistol, once in the head, once in the 
breast and once through the heart causing instant death.

The rash deed was committed in the front yard to his father’s home while his 
mother witnessed the act from the door.

No cause is assigned for the tragedy.  The negro is survived by his wife and 
several children.
