Hill vjbhill@alltel.net February 5, 2004, 9:16 pm The Taylor County News, Sept. 20, 1956, Vol 80, #52 EDMOND HILL, 15, KILLED SATURDAY IN ROAD ACCIDENT Funeral Rites At The Reynolds Baptist Church Sunday Afternoon. Reynolds community was shocked and saddened Saturday by the fatal accident in which Edmond Frierson Hill, 15 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernice F. Hill was killed by an automobile. The youth met instant death Saturday morning near the home of his parents, two miles north of Reynolds, when his bicycle collided with an automobile driven by Charles Dugger, 25, colored. After the accident Duggar was arrested charged with driving too fast with present condition of highway; but was released from custody when he posted bond. Young Hill was a student in the ninth grade, Reynolds High School. He was a member of the Reynolds Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Reynolds Baptist Church, Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Burial was in the family lot at Hillcrest Cemetery. Survivors besides his parents are a sister, Miss Tempie Hill; three brothers, James HIll, William C. Hill and Wayne F. Hill, all of Reynolds. Goddard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
