SAUNDERS Funeral services for Mrs. Allie Lee Hill Saunders, 80, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, from the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Don Patterson and the Rev. Allen Johnson officiated. Interment was in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Reynolds. Born in Taylor County on October 8, 1899, she was the daughter of the late James Green and Tempie McDaniel Hill. Mrs. Saunders was a member of the First Baptist Church of Reynolds, the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the Reynolds Woman's Club. Mrs. Saunders died in the Peach County Hospital in Fort Valley on Thursday, October 18. Survivors include a son, James Douglas Saunders of Huntsville, Ala.; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hawkins of Mesa, Ariz, and Mrs. Lois Stiles of Greenville, S. C.; a sister, Mrs. Camilla H. Carson of Reynolds; a brother, James Edwin Hill of Reynolds; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The Goddard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Serving as the pallbearers were Tommy Powell, Dan Payne, James and John Saunders, Frank Sams, Jr., E. W. Hodges, Jr., Butch Turner and Woodfin Hinton.
