Rites Held For Mrs. Hortman On Wednesday

  Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Pearl Posey Hortman, 55, were held from the
Turner's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at 2 p.m., Wednesday, with the Rev.
Sidney Jones officiating.  Interment followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery in
Reynolds.
  Born in Taylor County, September 24, 1920, she was the daughter of the late
Joe P. and Mary Jane Robinson Posey.
  Mrs. Hortman died in the Peach County Hospital, Monday, Jully 5, after being
in declining health for several months.
  Edwards Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Those serving as the
pallbearers were Johnny Posey, Clifford Ranow, J. F. Posey, Benny Posey, Howard
Lowe and James Posey.
  Survivors include her husband, Henry Hortman; three sons, Swain, Joseph Eugene
and Willie Edwards Posey; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Ranow, Mrs. Birl Winters and
Mrs. Lucille Abbott; and two brothers, Felton Posey of Thomaston and Earl Posey
of Albany.
