In Memoriam

Departed this life 5 Nov 1899, Mr. Eugene Hammock, of
Macon, GA. Mr. Hammock's former home was at
Potterville, where he won a host of friends who are
grieved to learn of his death. As a citizen he was
upright in business, as a neighbor he was kind and
obliging, hence he was loved by all. His Christian life
was marked by deep piety and devotion to his widowed
mother. It seemed that he wanted to do his whole duty
as a heaven-born soul ripening for glory and for God.
His community has lost a good citizen, his mother a
kind and devoted son. His Potterville friends hope
again to clasp his hand where Jesus calls to a better
land.
