The burial took place at the New Hope grave yard, about a mile from town. This little innocent had been suffering from hooping cough for three weeks before she died. The last week of her life was almost one incessant agaony, caused from spasms. She died of pneumonia and whooping cough. But her sufferings are now over, and she sweetly sleeps in Jesus, till the Resurrection morn, when she shall awake to life everlasting, and a home among the bless. Sympathies, the deepest and sincerest, are extended to the bereaved family. Duckworth on Nov 23, 1880. Sallie May had two older brothers, Monroe M. Humphries born 1877 and J.D. Humphries(7 Dec 1878 - Aug 18, 1883)
