Taylor COUNTY GA Ivey, Ernest Monroe File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Angela Covington http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/taylor/obits/ivey.txt Ernest Monroe Ivey Funeral services for Ernest Monroe Ivey were held at the Mount Nebo Primitive Baptist Church at 3 p.m., Friday, with the Rev. W.H. Dunn Sr., officiating. Interment followed at the Bloodsworth Cemetery. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased with Edwards Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born in Taylor County, July 18,1895, son of the late William and Ella Parks Ivey, he had lived in the county all of his life. He died Wednesday in the Veterans Hospital in Dublin after an illness of about nine months. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Annie Socci of Columbus, and one son, John Ivey of Columbus; four sisters, Mrs. Lala Caldwell of Thomaston, Mrs. Maybell Standridge of Otter Creek, Fla., Mrs. Willie Standridge and Miss Jennie Waller of Butler.
