Burial was in the church cemetery. Elder Julian Asbell, Elder Bentley Adams, and the Rev. Gene Ross officiated. Jinks was a native of Taylor County and lived most of his live in Ideal, with the exception of 26 years that he lived in Warner Robins. He was a retired sheet metal worker at Robins Air Force Base and a member of Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of World WAr II and a former prisioner of war in Germany for 20 months. He was also a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Corine Daniel Jinks of Ideal; a son, Sgt. Riley Jinks of Bamberg, West Germany; a daughter, Ann Jinks of Atlanta; two brothers, Arthur Jinks and Randol Jinks, both of Ideal; a grandson; four stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
