J.M. King, one of Taylor County’s prominent citizens. He had been plowing and at noon took out his mule, forgetting to untie the hamstring. On the way home the mule threw him, but his feet became tangled to the gear, the mule running away. Mrs. King succeeded in stopping the mule, but Mr. King was already unconscious and died five minutes later in his wife’s arms. Mr. King left here for the wiregrass about eighteen months ago.
