Miss Layfield Dies in Macon

Miss Maude Layfield, 81, of Macon, Ga., died there at 1 a.m. Monday. She
had lived in the central Georgia city 14 years.

Formerly of Taylor County, where she was born Feb. 8, 1880, she was the
daughter of the late James M. and Mamie Watson Layfield. She was a member
of the Methodist Church. Her body will be brought to Phenix City for burial.

Miss Layfield is survived by a brother, Ed Layfield, Phenix City; a sister,
Mrs. Bertha Jinks, Macon, and several nieces and nephews.

Maude Layfield died on 10/23/1961.
