(Barbara Lucretia Peacock, daughter of Wright & Grace Peacock - married first to Jeremiah Hamilton)

Mrs Lucretia Layfield, wife of T. F. Layfield, treasurer of
Taylor County, died at her residence in Butler, Monday
night. The funeral and interment will be conducted at that
place this morning at 11 o'clock. Capt E.R. Layfield of the
Central of Georgia Railway, her son, and family as well as a
large number of other relatives and friends from Macon and
other points will attend the funeral, Mrs. Layfield was
about 76 years of age and had lived nearly all her life in
Butler. She leaves a number of children and grandchildren,
by whom she was much beloved, as by all who knew her.
