Mauk as his victim, she being full of grace, ripe in Christianity, and ready for the reaper. She lingered until 11:30 when she breathed her last, surrounded by a host of friends and relatives. Mrs. Mauk had made her home here for a little over three years, but during that short time she made a host of friends. To know her was to love and reverence her. She had been a consistent member of the Baptist church for a number of years and as such lived an exemplary Christian life. She leaves two children, Mrs. J.S. Rogers, of Doyle, and Mrs. M.B. McCrary, of Buena Vista. Her remains were interred at Butler Wednesday afternoon; the funeral services were conducted by Elder W.W. Riner, of Columbus.
