Searcy Our community was made unusually sad a few days ago at the announcement of the death of Mrs. Julia Wallace Searcy, the devoted wife of Mr. C.S. Searcy and daughter of Prof. And Mrs. A.S. Wallace, at Daviston, on Friday, Dec. 28th, 1906. The death of Mrs. Searcy was unexpected and a very sad shock to her numerous friends and relatives. Mrs. Searcy was a most estimable and Christian lady, loved by all who knew her, and whose place in church and society will be hard to fill, which proves to us that “death loves a shining mark.” The remains of Mrs. Searcy were interred at Wesley on Saturday morning. The funeral service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. A.H. Bazemore. An unusually large attendance of the friends and relatives of the deceased were present to pay a loving tribute to her memory. Mrs. Searcy was about thirty years old. – Butler Herald This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
