Death of Mrs. Johnson

Mrs. Adaline Johnson, daughter of the late Enoch Collins, died at her home, six 
miles south of Butler Saturday after an illness of several months from 
complication of diseases.

Mrs. Johnson was prominently known in this county where she had resided all her 
life, and was highly esteemed by hosts of friends who now mourn her death.

She was sixty-six years of age, a member of the Missionary Baptist Church many 
years of her life.  Six children survive her – five in this State and one in 
Texas – also two brothers and one sister.

The remains of Mrs. Johnson were laid to rest in the cemetery at Prosperity 
Church Sunday, Elder Young performing the burial service.  The attendance at 
the grave was very large. – Butler Herald
