Carter and Family Among The Victims The friends, relatives and acquaintances of Mr. Clarence M. Carter, formerly of this county, will be pained to learn that his entire family, consisting of himself, his wife and two children met instant death in this fearful disaster. It will be remembered that Mr. Carter with his interesting family, sold their farm near Reynolds in January 1906 and moved to Porum, Ind. Terr., and but a few weeks ago moved to Zephyr, Tex. where Mr. Carter was building up a fine mercantile business, but the winds of Sunday morning in a moment’s time have brought desolation to a once happy home. Mr. Carter was a son of Mr. A.M. Carter, Sr. of Reynolds; Mrs. Carter was a daughter of Mr. F.E. Glover, also of Reynolds. Messrs. Carter and Glover left for Zephyr, Texas Monday morning and it is not definitely known what disposition will be made of the effects of Mr. Carter or where the remains of his family will be buried. – Butler Herald Mr. Carter was a relative of Mrs. E.R. Mathews and the Carters of Prattsburg. The many friends sympathize with the bereaved loved ones. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.7 Kb
