Personal Mention

While swimming at Ficklin’s Mill in Taylor County Friday Mr. J.D. Beall, a 
successful farmer and influential citizen of that county, was drowned.  He was 
attempting to swim across the pond when it is supposed a cramp seized him and 
despite the efforts of his friends to save his life he was drowned.  He was 
superintendent of the Sunday school which was having a picnic nearby that day.
