Wesley Brewer, a well- known and pioneer citizen of the county, whose home is near Rupert. Mr. Brewer was stricken with paralysis about two weeks ago followed by another attack last week since which time, his life, it is said, has been hanging by a thread which is likely to snap at any time according to information received in Butler yesterday. He is a Confederate veteran, a good farmer and neighbor who would be greatly missed. LATER--According to information received here this morning, Mr. Brewer died last night at 8 o'clock. Additional Comments: John Wesley Brewer served in Co. B, 17th Ga. Inf., CSA. He was married to Mary "Mollie" Hill Brewer. They are both buried at Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
