Hill vjbhill@alltel.net November 25, 2003, 8:48 pm The Butler Herald, Vol 72, No 10, Dec. 18, 1947 MRS. ANNIE E. LIPSEY, FORMER BUTLER CITIZEN, DIES AT WAYCROSS Many local friends of Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Lipsey, widow of Mr. Jerry W. Lipsey, will regret to learn of her death occurring Saturday at Waycross. She had been in declining health for many months, it is learned. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Lipsey were among Butler's most prominent and enterprising citizens, taking an active interest as they did in all civic, religious and education affairs in our city. Mr. Lipsey is credited with having erected two of Butler's most attractive residences as well as taking an active part in all matters of interest to our city during his life time, while Mrs. Lipsey will long be remembered for her religious and civic interests in the community, she being one of the organizers and builders of the local Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Lipsey is survived by her son, Morris Lipsey, and a daughter Mrs. Earl Wilson of Columbus. Funeral services were held Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church at Waycross conducted by Rev. A. V. McInnia, pastor. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery, Waycross. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
