Mrs. Bivins came to Butler quite a number of years ago and resided here until her marriage with Colonel J.H. Bivins. She then went with the Colonel to his plantation home on Flint river at which she place she continued to reside until and after the death of Colonel Bivins which occurred sev-(this is how the word sev was typed) years ago. Her health fairly gave way, which necessitated the move to Mr. Jarrell’s home. Mrs. Bivins was well known throughout the county and had many warm friends. She was also noted for her fine business qualities. Mrs. Bivins left no children of her own. Her remains were interred at Culloden Sunday afternoon.
