Mrs. Buckner was born February 14, 1845; married Mr. Slade Buckner Nov. 2, 1871, and died Nov. 12, 1910. Mrs. Buckner lived a quiet (paper torn for several sentences) she made no public confession of religion, her life was such that those who knew her best, say that she was a Christian woman. That gentle kind of womanhood, that does and thinks no evil. She leaves one brother, Mr. John Wright Martin of this county, three sisters, Mrs. Cornelia Garrett of Junction City, Mrs. Ophelia Amerson of Columbus, and Mrs. Bailey, of Muscogee, Ga. The body of this good woman who had patiently suffered for so long a time was laid to rest in the cemetery at Howard last Sunday at 12 o’clock, the funeral services conducted by Rev. J.T.
