Monfort Dead Departed this life at her home in the northeastern part of the county at the home of her nephew, Mr. John W. Hudson, Tuesday, Nov. 16th, 1910. Mrs. Amanda Kate Montfort (the widow of Mr. Joel E. Monfort, deceased) for many years held membership with the Missionary Baptist Church of Reynolds. Mrs. Monfort lived a quiet, even life, not demonstrative in her religious profession but her life was such that those who knew her best spoke in the highest terms of her life as a Christian. As a neighbor, she was kind and obliging, ever ready to help in time of distress, and extend the helping hand to the poor and needy. She was punctual and consistent in meeting her church obligations and met her Christian duties willingly and cheerfully. Her remains were interred in the Butler cemetery Wednesday afternoon, the funeral services conducted by her pastor, Rev. Z.T.
