This time the scene is Mauk, and the parties Negroes. It seems as if Green Searcy and Alonzo Hooten were engaged in a game of crapps when there arose a disagreement between them and Green Searcy shot and killed Alonzo. It is not known whether there were any witnesses to the killing or not. The Coroner and Sheriff Beeland repaired at once to the scene of the killing but Green had fled the country. Booze, cards or women are at the bottom of nearly every killing. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.1 Kb
