Death of a Little Babe

Wednesday, August 23, 1911 the death angel came and took from Mr. and Mrs. 
Andrew Cotney their beloved baby, Joseph Donald.  He had the measles but was 
about well of them and took diphtheria, was ten months old.  All was done that 
could be done to relieve him, but He that doeth all things well saw fit to take 
him from us.  Tis hard, so hard to give him up but the will of the Lord be done.

But little Donald was so good and sweet and we know it was hard to give him up, 
and say the will of the Lord be done.  All we have to comfort us is to know he 
is safe in the arms of Jesus.  Sleeping blessed, where little angels wake no 
more to weep.  A precious one from earth has gone, a voice we heard is still, a 
place is vacant in our home which never can be filled.
