Davis It is with sadness we chronicle the death of Mr. J.T. Davis of Panhandle, which occurred at his home last Wednesday night. Mr. Davis was a member of the Methodist church and held his membership with the church at Crowell, and since his residence in that section, his life had been such that he had the esteem and confidence of all who knew him. He was a good citizen, true to his principles of integrity and honesty, a devout member of the church, a neighbor who was kind and obliging, a husband who was true and affectionate, and a father who was loving and devoted to his children. Verily a good man has fallen. He was in the 63rd year of his age, and leaves a brokenhearted family of a wife and several children to mourn their loss. The remains were buried at Crowell Wednesday afternoon, the funeral service held by his pastor, Rev. Ear Anderson. Card of Thanks We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to our many friends for their highly appreciated acts of kindness in the illness and death of my dear husband. While words cannot fully express our appreciation for the many favors rendered us, yet we desire to assure friends of our lasting debt of gratitude and that their kindness will ever be remembered in our prayers.
