He was a typical old- time darkey, harmless and polite, though a unique character in many particulars. He was about 90 years old and never wore shoes until recent years. He followed the trade of well digging for many years and was good at his business. He was a notable athlete in walking and many wonderful stories are credited to him just a few years back. He was given a very respectful burial by those of his race Sunday afternoon. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.2 Kb
