Davis, Taylor County’s oldest citizen, being in his 95th year, died last Monday at the home of his son, Mr. W.T. Davis, near the Taylor and Macon County line. He was a good man and until only a few years ago was an active farmer. Though not a member of any church, he was a strong believer in the Primitive doctrine and visited religious services as long as his health permitted. The body was interred in the cemetery at Bethel church Tuesday morning. The following are his children, the most of whom were present at the interment: Mrs. John Hamilton, of Columbus; Mr. Ruben Davis, of South Georgia; Mrs. J.T. Oneal, Mrs. J.J. Theus, Mrs. B.F.
