She was the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Whittington near Marshallville; born Dec. 28, 1911, died Sept. 9, 1912. All that loving hands could do and the best physicians of Marshallville did all they could to save her but all was in vain. It was hard to give her up but God saw fit to take her to His home above. She leaves a broken hearted mother and father, two brothers, J.D. and Jason Whittington and one sister, Zemar Lou and two grandmothers besides a host of relatives. Her remains were laid to rest in Marshallville cemetery, funeral service conducted by Rev. Moncrief on September 10th. The little crib is empty now The little clothes laid by A mother’s hope, a father’s joy In death cold arms doth lie. Go little pilgrim to thy home On yonder’s blissful shore. We miss thee here but soon will come Where thou hast gone before. A precious one from us has gone A voice we love is still. A place is vacant in our home Which never can be filled. God in His wisdom has recalled The doom His love had given And thought the body slumber here The soul is safe in Heaven. Card of Thanks We wish to thank each and everyone for their kindness shown us in the sickness and death of our little darling. May God’s richest blessings rest on each and everyone.
