Local Paragraphs

In the death Saturday of Amanda Huff, age 71 years, Butler lost one of its best 
known colored women.  She was the mother and grandmother of one of the most 
quiet, polite and industrious families of negroes in our town, and was herself 
very worthy of the good name she bore among both white and colored.  The 
funeral procession over her remains Sunday was the largest seen here in years.
