She was 26 years of age leaving a bright sweet babe of 8 months old. She had been in bad health for some time and bore her afflictions so well; she greeted her friends with a pleasant smile during her last days on earth. We feel assured that she had gone to a home where sickness never comes, she told some of her friends that she was ready to go. Such a sweet thought to know that when our loved ones have to leave us that they are ready to go, Oh! Just think that time is coming with us all. Let us strive to be ready when the dear Saviour shall come for us too, and such a sweet thought He loves us all; some may forget us here, but He never will for He says in His word that He loves the poor as well as the rich, such a sweet thought. Let us all strive to meet loved ones gone before. Mrs. Gassett leaves a father, mother, one sister and four brothers beside a host of relatives and friends to mourn her death. ‘Tis hard to break the tender cord When love has bound the heart; ‘Tis hard so hard to speak the word, We must forever part. She was tenderly laid to rest in the Union cemetery Thursday evening, funeral services being conducted by Brother Leb Peed. Weep not mother and father for she is in the arms of Jesus waiting for your return. Julia Bickley This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.1 Kb
