Bazemore, in the death of their daughter, Mrs. Docia Bostick Friday night March 7th. Mrs. Bostick had been confined to the home and bed for several months with a dropsical trouble and had received the best medical aid that the hospitals of the State afforded, but without avail. Last January she was brought to the home of her parents in this county, receiving all the attention that could be bestowed by loving hearts and willing hands, but all were futile and she, with peace and confidence in her risen Lord realized that death had been robbed of its sting and the grave of its victory. Mrs. Bostick with her husband, Mr. C.A. Bostick, had for several years made their home near Lizella in Crawford County, and to their union two little boys were given, ages 8 and 10 respectively, and who are now deprived of the warmth and solicitude of a mother’s love. Mrs. Bostick was about 37 years of age and for 20 years a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and at which cemetery her remains were laid to rest Sunday at noon, the funeral services conducted by Rev. J.T. Adams, witnessed by a large number of warm sympathetic friends. Besides her parents and husband she leaves to mourn their loss, one sister, Mrs. Baldwin and five brothers to-wit: W.E., O.M., C.E., T.N. and C.W. Bazemore. Card of Thanks Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Bazemore and family desire to express to their friends and the community at large, and especially to Dr. E.W. Carter, for professional services, their sincere and heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the warm hearted help and sympathy so freely bestowed during the weary days and nights of their daughter’s illness. Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Bazemore The Butler Herald Tuesday, April 1, 1913 Page Four In Memory of Mrs. C.A. Bostick How sad it was on March 7th at 7:30 p.m., when the death angels visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Bazemore and took away their beloved daughter, Mrs. C.A. Bostick. It was so hard for us to give her up, we loved her so much but the dear Lord loved her best. We miss her so much but we can only pray so that when He calls us we shall be ready to go and join her in that beautiful city where we can live forever with Jesus and our loved ones. She cannot come to us anymore but we can go to her if we only trust in God and how we must pray and trust in Him if we go to her; God grant that we will. She was confined to her home and bed several months with a dropsical trouble and received the best medical aid that the hospital afforded, there she stayed three weeks and was afterwards brought to the home of her parents in this county and in spite of all that loving hearts and willing hands could do for her she passed away. Aunt Docia was 37 years old and at the age of 17 she gave her heart to God and trusted in His holy word. In 1899 she was married to Mr. C.A. Bostick and for the past few years they made their home in Lizella in Crawford County, and to them were given two little boys, their ages now are 8 and 12 years. Her remains were gently laid to rest in the cemetery of Antioch Baptist Church where she was a member, the funeral services conducted by Rev. J.T. Adams. Besides her parents and husband she leaves to mourn their loss, one sister, Mrs. J.R. Baldwin and five brothers, namely: W.E., C.E., O.M., T.N. and C.W. Bazemore and a host of relatives and friends. Weep no more dear ones for she has gone above, Resting in her Saviour’s arms of love. And may some day we all will meet in that Heavenly home, Where there is no sorrow or parting to be known. God so loved her that He took her from this world, Where she shall be forever in the streets of shining gold. Written by her niece, Susie Bazemore Howard, Ga.
