In Loving Memory of Little Walter E. Peterman,

Who Departed this life April 7th, 1913

Written by His Aunt, Biddie Smith

Little Walter was only 18 months old, and was a sweet little babe, loved by all 
who knew him.  He was laid to rest in the Mosely Cemetery.

Oh, it is hard to part with one we love so well, but God’s will must be done.  
Though is it our loss, it is Heaven’s gain.  Weep not, dear father and mother, 
little Walter is not dead; he is just waiting on that bright celestial shore, 
where pain and parting will be no more.

For another little lamb has gone
To dwell with Him who gave;
Another little darling babe 
Is sheltered in the grave.

Two little hands crossed over the breast,
Two little feet laid down to rest,
Two little eyes in slumber closed;
How our hearts bleed not but God knows.

One little voice that prattled in love.
Sweet songs is now making in heaven above,
And angels are watching and waiting for us,
Till we shall cross the dark rolling sea.

Card of Thanks

Dear Mr. Benns,

We desire through the columns of your paper to express our gratitude and deep 
appreciation of the kindly help and heartfelt sympathy shown to us during the 
illness and death of our darling little child.  Our hearts are deeply saddened 
and the once bright home is darkened by a shadow, which will linger as long as 
life shall last.  Again we thank our many friends for their loving words of 
tender sympathy.
