Bodiford The friends of Mrs. Laura Belle Bodiford, the estimable wife of Prof. R.L. Bodiford are called upon to mourn her death, which occurred at the country home of her husband Monday night of last week following an attack of typhoid fever. She was 43 years old, had been a resident of this county for a number of years. Mrs. Bodiford was the daughter of an eminent Baptist minister, Rev. H.S. Jaynes late of Grady county. She is survived by her husband and four sisters, the latter still living in Grady county. The funeral and interment took place Wednesday morning at Bethel cemetery, services being conducted by Rev. John Locke assisted by Rev. J.H. Stanford. Since childhood Mrs. Bodiford has been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, a woman of strong Christian character; patient, loving and self- sacrificing. Life will never be quite the same to those who knew her, while those who were nearest to her will long for her counsel and advice, and a wife’s gentle and loving sympathy. Card of Thanks We thank this method of thanking our good neighbors and friends for their kindness toward our dear wife in her late illness and to us in our days of sadness when we had to give her up. We also especially thank her nurse, Miss Susan Bennett, of Columbus, and Dr. Edwards, of Butler, for the valuable services rendered. R.L.
