Benford Died Monday At Country Home Mr. H.C. Benford, about 59 years of age and one of the most highly respected citizens of his community died at his home near Mauk on Monday last after a protracted illness. Mr. Benford was an honest upright citizen and possessed traits of character that made him worthy of the highest mark of respect from everybody with whom he had dealings. For quite a while he had been in a low state of health and all efforts to find a cure for his ills were in vain, yet his death is none the less sad as he will be greatly missed by his neighbors and many friends. He is survived by his wife and one child, a number of relatives and numerous friends. Funeral and interment took place in the family lot at Bloodsworth Cemetery Tuesday.
