Green Relatives and friends of Prof. Will Green learn with sorrow of his death, which occurred at his home at Ben Hill, Fulton County, Ga., Saturday morning at 3 o’clock. Prof. Green was reared in this county and after finishing school here attended and graduated at the State University after which he began teaching and has been at the head of some of the leading schools of the state. At the time of his death he was still a comparatively young man, a gentleman of splendid character and industry who was highly esteemed by all who knew him. The cause of his death was from pneumonia, which he contracted only a few days before his death. Several years ago Prof. Green, while principal of the Dalton school married a most excellent young lady of that place, who with two children survive him. The funeral and interment took place at Dalton Sunday afternoon and was attended by Mr. J.H. Taunton, of this county, a relative of the deceased. Prof. Green was a consistent member of the Missionary Baptist Church with which he united when only a small boy. The Herald tenders its deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives.
