Essie, or better known as Dalph Huff, fourteen years of age and daughter of 
Lucy Huff, colored, died Wednesday after an illness of several weeks from 
typhoid fever.  Being one of the most trusted and reliable colored families in 
Butler the death of this member is regretted.  Numerous friends, both white and 
colored, extend sympathy to the family.  From many white families as well as 
colored offerings of flowers were placed on the casket.
