Neighborhood News Items

Moore’s Chapel

Mr. Bert Hays died at his home near here Saturday morning at 8 o’clock after an 
illness of a week.  Mr. Hays is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Jim 
Whitley and Mrs. Lee Dennis Pike; four sons, Whitt, Wesley, Johnnie and 
Stephen.  The deceased was a member of the Methodist church.  His death will be 
regretted by numerous friends.  The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Jesse 
Ford Sunday morning at 9 o’clock, interment being made at Pine Level Cemetery.
