Spillers Mr. John Spillers, one of Taylor County’s oldest citizens, died Saturday at Milledgeville. His body was shipped to Butler for interment arriving here on the early morning train Sunday morning. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.H. Stanford and interment of the remains was made at Turner’s Chapel cemetery Sunday at 11 o’clock. On account of his condition Mr. Spillers was carried to the sanitarium at Milledgeville about four weeks ago. It was hoped that the treatment received there would prove beneficial to his health. But even with the best medical attention his condition continued to grow worse and passed away Saturday. Mr. Spillers is survived by a large number of relatives. He was between 85 and 90 years old. He had been a resident of Taylor County practically all of his life and was well-known and highly esteemed.
