She passed away quietly in death at the home of her husband on Sunday the 6th of October and was buried at Bethel Church on the 7th ’89. Aunt Kitty as she was usually called, was aged 71 years and some months. She had lived in marriage for upwards of 50 years, fulfilling her duty as wife and mother in much faithfulness. She leaves a husband, two sons and two daughters, with other relatives who grieve and mourn their sad loss. Deceased was not by public profession a member of the church; yet she left many evidences of love toward God and faith in Christ. During her affliction in the close of it which confined her mostly to the house and often her bed she expressed a great desire to follow Christ in baptism; but her health hindered a fulfillment of her desire. In the close of life she expressed herself free from the fear of death, believing that the end would be eternal rest. She often requested that Elder J.G. Murray be asked to attend her burial and conduct the funeral services; but owing to previous appointment Elder Murray was unavoidably absent. May a merciful and gracious God comfort the sorrowing husband and children. B. Stewart This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
