She was the wife of J.H. Holsey, Esq., and the mother of a large family of children who together with many friends here, lament her death. Mrs. Holsey, with her family left for Texas in January 1884 where they have since resided. Mrs. Holsey was a lady that suffered many trials and persecutions but despite all of these she was a devoted wife, Christian mother and loved by all who knew her. She was the only sister of Messrs.
