He had threatened the life of Mr. Kitchens and had purchased the material with which to accomplish his intention. Mr. Kitchens knowing the character of Jordan and having heard of the threats made against him, loaded his gun with buck shot and made sure his game. Jordan was killed instantly and so depraved had become his nature that no one was willing to assist in giving him a decent burial. Jordan was convicted in Taylor Superior Court several years ago on a serious charge and sent to the chain gang where he served his time, and returned to Taylor County. We have no sympathy for such characters and now that he is dead the world is better off.
