Died

Mr. William Henry Heard (better known as Uncle Buck Heard) died at the 
residence of Col. W.S. Wallace on Wednesday night last after a short but 
painful illness.  Mr. Heard was in the 76th year of his age and had been a 
citizen of Butler about 34 years.  He had resided with the family of Col. 
Wallace during his entire stay in Butler, and was a quiet, peaceable and 
upright citizen.  He had many friends in this community but if he had any 
relatives here we do not know them.  The burial services were conducted by 
Elder J.R. Respess on Thursday.
