Killed

Charles Carson, col., was accidentally shot and killed in Macon on Monday the 
5th inst.  The ball was from a 38 caliber pistol and passed almost entirely 
through his body.  He lingered a few days and died in great pain.  His remains 
were brought to Butler, where he was born and raised, and interred in the 
cemetery here.  He was considered a quiet and industrious boy.
