John Howell, deceased, died at the residence of Mr. J.D. Jarrell, in the northern portion of this county at 12 o’clock on Friday night last. Mrs. Howell was only sick a short while before her death but left the sweet assurance that she was ready for the Master’s call. She was in the 73rd year of her age, for many years a consistent member of the Missionary Baptist church and lived to bless the world through the religion that she professed. She was a purely good woman and left to the world a Christian character worthy to be emulated. She leaves several children among them Mr. M.C. Howell and Mrs. J.D. Jarrell besides many friends and acquaintances to mourn their loss. Her remains were interred at Antioch on Sunday morning, surrounded by a large circle of sympathizing friends.
