Mrs. Peed was in the 90th year of her age and was a lady of unusual health and strength for one of her age. She was taken suddenly ill only about three days before her death and gradually grew weaker until summoned by the angel of death to rest from the toils of life. She was a consistent member of the Primitive Baptist church and a more peaceable, quiet and inoffensive lady never lived in our community. She was loved by all who know her and as a sheaf fully ripe for the harvest, she has been garnered into the fold of God. The funeral exercises were conducted by Elder J.R. Respess at the Primitive Baptist church on Sunday at 11 a.m. Her remains were interred in the Methodist cemetery.
