Helms, one of the truest and best citizens of this county. Mr. Helms was about 63 years of age and a gentleman estimated far below his real worth. He had always led a quiet and unassuming life, but his thoughts were deep and his intellect far above the average of mankind. He was a member of the Methodist church at Prattsburg for more than 40 years and whose Christian life and influence will be sadly missed in the community in which he lived. Mr. Helms had been in very feeble health for several months and his death, though sad was no surprise. He leaves a devoted wife, five children besides many friends and relatives to mourn their loss. His remains were interred in the Sterns’ family burying ground on Thursday. The bereaved family have the sympathy of many friends.
