Bartlett Intelligence was received from Columbus last Wednesday announcing the death of Mr. A.W. Bartlett, familiarly known as Arch Bartlett, which sad event occurred at his home in Columbus at 5 o’clock on Wednesday morning from a short illness of pneumonia. Mr. Bartlett was reared in this county and was a son of Mrs. Ruth Bartlett, besides he had many friends and relatives here who will regret to learn of his death. About three years ago he moved to Columbus where he had since done a splendid mercantile business. He was about 24 years of age, a gentleman of fine moral character and bid fair to be successful in life. His remains were interred in the cemetery in Columbus Thursday evening, the services being conducted by Elder H. Bussey, and were attended by Mr. H.A. Childs, his brother-in-law and other members of the family. The Herald extends its sympathy to the bereaved family.
