A Sad Death On yesterday morning about daylight, Mrs. D. Hill was walking the railroad between the river bridge and her residence about a quarter of a mile this side of the bridge when a belated freight train running at a high speed going east, ran over Mrs. Hill killing her instantly. Her husband is the efficient watchman at the river bridge. Mrs. Hill is a sister of Mr. F.M. Moulton and Mrs. Slate Hill and was a lady of many noble traits of character; her husband and the entire family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends. Additional Comments: Note: According to Hill family researcher, Harris Hill (http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00011.html#0002514), Mrs. D. Hill was Amanda Moulton Hill, wife of Burton D. Hill. Harris isn't certain but believes she is buried at the Hillcrest cemetery in Reynolds. The name listed on the gravestone is Mandy Hill with the death date being exactly one year earlier than what is given in the obituary. Burton D. Hill is also buried in this cemetery. The couple had no children. Amanda's sister, Missouri Annice Moulton, mentioned in this obituary, was the first wife of Slaughter "Slate" Hill while another sister, Mary A.V. Moulton, was the second wife of Hamilton Henry "Hamp" Hill.
